After training the first group of export consultants, we saw that many of them planned to deliver training about export as part of the business plans. We at the Vision Institute have been in the training world for more than 30 years, and realized that consultancy skills are not enough for adult training. Also, having an innovative and efficient training model, the trainers need to broaden their skills from being the best to explain export to additionally preparing videos for flipped classrooms, delivering practical to-point workshops for participants to learn new skills to inspiring hundreds of participants to fuel the change towards systematic export in the own companies by giving feedback to companies from really diverse fields. What a challenge! For the second year, we are amazed about their energy and innovativeness in designing the Export Academy program for the exporters to manage better during the war. Can you imagine what they could have accomplished without the war?

Our journey with the Export Academy has been an exciting and fulfilling one. In the first round of the program, we brought together 21 trainers who worked tirelessly under the guidance of international mentors for three months. The trainers collaborated to create a comprehensive 7-module training program aimed at empowering Ukrainian SMEs to conquer global markets.

The first three modules of the program, which were created entirely by our trainers, have already been completed. Now, we are moving into the fourth module, which will teach 200 Ukrainian SMEs how to create a powerful export brand that will help them enter foreign markets in the long term. The program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills they need to build a successful export brand. The lectures are informative, the practical workshops are engaging, and the hands-on training is invaluable. We believe that the Export Academy is a groundbreaking initiative that has the potential to transform the Ukrainian SME sector. Through this program, we are creating a community of skilled and empowered SMEs that will be able to compete on a global scale. We look forward to continuing our journey with the Export Academy and to seeing the positive impact it will have on the Ukrainian business landscape.

The project is financially supported by the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV), and supported by the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office (Ukraine) within the framework of the Diia.Business Ukrainian national project.
