The German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in collaboration with the Visionest Institute from Estonia, is initiating a new project aimed at enhancing the export potential of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
This project seeks to connect Ukrainian SMEs with European companies and experts to strengthen their readiness to enter the EU market. From March to April, a series of online dialogues led by European experts, along with various industry sessions involving representatives from EU businesses, associations, and Ukrainian SMEs, will provide participants with practical knowledge for sustainable business development. Topics will include energy efficiency, environmental responsibility, and resource optimization.
🌍 The goal of the project is to facilitate the integration of Ukrainian SMEs into EU markets through collaboration with European companies and experts.
📢 The project will engage 20 Ukrainian companies from various sectors, chosen from participants of prior initiatives and former grantees. Throughout the project, they will have the opportunity to:
• Learn about key export requirements for EU markets
• Familiarize themselves with ESG standards and the requirements for their implementation
• Master innovative approaches to process management
• Start developing strategies for resource optimization
• Establish connections with potential partners in the EU

The project “Innovations for Internationalization: Strengthening Ukraine-Europe Dialogue for SMEs” is developed by the Visionest Institute within the international cooperation programme “EU4Business: SME Recovery, Competitiveness and Internationalisation” which is co-financed by the European Union and the German Government and is implemented by the German federal company “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH”. The programme aims to support Ukraine’s economic resilience, recovery and growth, create better conditions for the development of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as support innovation and exports.
