June 3, 2025 | Tbilisi, Georgia
The training was officially opened by Anu Mall Naarits, CEO of Visionest Institute, and Giorgi Tsimintia, Project Manager of UNDP’s Inclusive Access to Markets initiative, underscoring the strategic collaboration focused on strengthening Georgian SMEs’ digital capabilities and global competitiveness.
The training was led by Martina Vazzoler, a renowned EU digital export specialist with over a decade of experience in helping European SMEs scale through digital innovation and internationalization. Her leadership brought a practical, insight-driven approach to the sessions, drawing from best practices across the EU market landscape.
This initiative is funded by the European Union and implemented by Visionest Institute, a contractor of the Estonian Centre for International Development, with the support of UNDP Georgia. It is designed to enhance the capacity of Georgian SMEs to increase exports to the European Union and other European markets through targeted participation in international trade fairs and B2B networking events.
Over 30 entrepreneurs from 20 companies, representing both Tbilisi and regional areas, gathered with a shared vision: to expand their businesses beyond domestic borders. The program’s atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a collective commitment to embracing a digital-first future.
The first day’s sessions concentrated on core principles of digital sales, guiding participants through defining unique selling propositions and shifting from traditional sales methods to digital strategies. Martina Vazzoler’s hands-on approach included competitor analysis and transforming business messaging into formats optimized for online marketplaces – sparking active engagement and practical application.
This training transcended conventional knowledge-sharing; it fostered meaningful connections, enhanced entrepreneurial confidence, and ignited momentum for scalable growth. The palpable energy and active discussions reflected a community ready to innovate and compete globally.
Visionest Institute’s entry into Georgia one year ago was not just a starting point but the beginning of a transformative journey. With this new digital training program, the institute signals a decisive move from reflection to action – helping Georgian SMEs write the next chapter of their entrepreneurial success in the digital age.
