Knitteria is one of 51 Georgian SMEs that successfully took part in the Trade Fair Assistance for SMEs in Georgia program – part of the EU-funded Inclusive Access to Markets project implemented by UNDP and ESTDEV.
Over the course of seven months, participating fashion, kidswear, and leather brands joined eight expert-led workshops (both in-person and online), received tailored mentorship from professionals in Estonia and the UK, and showcased their work at major international trade fairs. This initiative strengthened local businesses’ export readiness, brand positioning, and negotiation strategies – equipping them to engage confidently with international buyers and partners.

Founded in March 2023 by Alina Kravchenko-Kobakhidze, Knitteria was born from a vision to breathe new life into the art of knitwear – blending rich traditional craftsmanship with sleek, modern aesthetics. For Alina, knitwear is not just about creating clothing; it’s about storytelling through texture, color, and form – a bridge between heritage and contemporary lifestyles.
Knitteria Founder, Alina Kravchenko-Kobakhidze:
“From day one, Knitteria has been dedicated to exceptional quality. The brand carefully selects only the finest yarns, including premium Italian yarns, and combines them with meticulous handcrafting techniques. Every stitch reflects a commitment to durability, comfort, and timeless beauty – designed for people who value authenticity and elegance in their wardrobe.”
Knitteria’s collections bring together the warmth and spirit of Georgian motifs with a fresh, wearable style – balancing everyday essentials with refined statement pieces. Each item is customized by color and size to meet the unique preferences of its clientele, ensuring a personal and thoughtful experience.

The journey of Knitteria is not only about craftsmanship but also about growth and global reach. In 2025, with the crucial support and expertise gained from the Visionest Institute’s export training program, Knitteria successfully entered the competitive US market. This milestone marked a powerful step in showcasing Georgian artistry on the global stage – a true testament to the brand’s readiness and resilience.
Knitteria’s story is more than just about knitwear; it’s about vision, perseverance, and the power of combining creativity with strategic guidance. Programs like those offered by Visionest Institute are designed to give ambitious entrepreneurs the tools, mentorship, and confidence they need to grow beyond local markets and make their mark internationally.
We are honored to celebrate alumni like Alina and Knitteria, whose achievements continue to inspire both emerging and established entrepreneurs to dream bigger and take the next step toward global success.
