Diversity

The Born Global Ukraine project is developed by Visionest Institute Estonia and implemented in cooperation with Ukrainian Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office (EEPO)within the framework of the Diia.Business Ukraine national project.

The project is funded by the US Department of State Office of the Assistance Coordinator for Europe and Eurasia under the 11th round of the Development Cooperation Partnership (DCP) Program and by ESDTEV – Estonian Center for International Development Cooperation.

The Born Global Ukraine program helps create new businesses in Ukraine that are designed to quickly expand into international markets.

The Born Global programme`s teams (entrepreneurial enthusiasts), are undergoing an intensive Born Global training program under the guidance of a Ukrainian trainer and receiving guidance on their ideas from international mentors.

Project activities:

  • Recruitment and selection of participants;
  • First train 20 new export trainers in Ukraine, who will complete the program of Train The Trainers and they pilot their skills in an effective Born Global Incubator program involving teams of newly established companies or entrepreneurial enthusiasts;
  • Mentoring for teams that help build relationships with international experts and networks;
  • We pay attention to the inclusion of women, people with special needs, and veterans.
  • Post-program analysis and sharing of lessons.

As a result of the program, we help entrepreneurs and business owners quickly and effectively internationalize their teams or companies to launch new Born Globals in Ukraine.

Impact

Direct beneficiaries of the project:

  • 20 export consultants/trainers who will acquire new skills that are practically applicable, at least 50% of the participants are women;
  • 500 people, of whom 200 will participate training and mentorship in the program. As a result, will be launched or internationalized 40 companies;
  • 10 local government or other business support organizations

Indirect beneficiaries of the project:

  • regional BSOs who help launch the program and receive inspiration from those who have completed the program to develop their organizations more effectively;
  • Born global projects provide job opportunities for local community members
  • We are creating an effective tool that supports faster export of new companies in Ukraine.

Participant satisfaction is measured regularly after each training module. The results will be published after the project ends.
