Over 400 SMEs Apply for the Third “Export Academy” in Ukraine
War-torn Ukraine is actively seeking to revitalize its export sector. In response, the Visionest Institute has launched the highly successful “Export Academy” program for the third time. With over 400 applications received, the program continues to garner significant interest.
The “Export Academy” aims to equip small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the necessary tools and knowledge to enter the export market and build successful export brands.
This iteration of the program boasts several key improvements:
- Focus on Ukrainian Language: Training is conducted entirely in Ukrainian, fostering a smoother learning experience and allowing deeper content exploration.
- Experienced Trainers: The program benefits from trainers who are alumni of the program themselves, with additional training in teaching methods. Two lead trainers, Violetta Loziuk and Snizhana Kluban, provide expert guidance throughout the program.
- Intensified Learning: This iteration offers a more compact and intensive learning format, making it adaptable to Ukraine’s current realities. The structure emphasizes individual learning with online feedback, allowing participants to plan their studies around disruptions. Additional resources are available for those seeking further exploration.
- Tailored Content: The program is structured in two parts: a core section for beginners and an advanced section for more experienced participants. Content reflects the best practices gleaned from previous years, updated for the current market situation.
- Actionable Skills: Participants will graduate with a clear action plan for expanding their businesses globally. The curriculum blends theory, practical tools, and expert guidance, equipping future exporters with a solid foundation for international success.
The program’s emphasis on Ukrainian language offers distinct advantages, according to the lead trainers. “This allows participants to focus on the content without a language barrier and enables trainers to deliver materials in their native language, ensuring optimal quality,” explains Violetta Loziuk.
With a focus on practical knowledge and Ukrainian market realities, the program empowers participants to apply their learned skills effectively. The pilot project of the “Export Academy” achieved international recognition, receiving first place in the Emerging Europe Awards 2023 under the category of people-first economy initiatives promoting human-centered entrepreneurship. The program is implemented under the project “Creating an Export Training Platform in Ukraine,” developed by Visionest Institute in collaboration with Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office and funded by ESTDEV – Estonian International Development Cooperation Center.
